What Is The Difference Between Q215 And Q235?
Q215 steel belongs to ordinary carbon structural steel. Its chemical composition is mainly low carbon (C content ≤ 0.15%), with appropriate amount of alloying elements such as manganese (Mn) and silicon (Si). This composition design gives the material moderate strength and good plasticity. Compared with the higher strength Q235 steel, Q215 has a slightly lower yield strength, but a higher elongation (about 30%), and shows better formability in cold bending, stamping and other processing processes. At the same time, its low carbon content makes its welding performance better than high carbon steel. It can be connected by conventional arc welding, gas shielded welding and other processes, and has a low tendency to cold cracks after welding.
