Main characteristics of 439 stainless steel:
Strong Corrosion Resistance:
439 stainless steel has a high chromium content (17%-18%), which can form a stable passivation film, effectively resist oxidation and corrosion in a hot and humid environment, especially in a chlorine-containing environment.
High Temperature Oxidation Resistance:
In a high temperature environment, 439 stainless steel can maintain excellent structure and strength.
Intergranular Corrosion Resistance:
The addition of titanium can effectively prevent the precipitation of chromium carbide at the grain boundary, thereby improving the ability to resist intergranular corrosion, which makes 439 stainless steel show better stability after welding.
Stable Chemical Composition:
The chromium content of 439 stainless steel is usually between 17%-18%. The addition of titanium effectively prevents the occurrence of intergranular corrosion and enhances the stability of the welding area.
