Description:
420J2 stainless steel belongs to the martensitic series of stainless steel, with a high carbon content, and can be heat treated to obtain higher hardness.
Heat treatment：420J2 stainless steel can be heat treated to increase hardness and strength. Typical heat treatment processes include:
Annealing: The steel is heated to about 800°C-850°C and then slowly cooled to reduce internal stress and improve toughness.
Quenching and tempering: In order to obtain high hardness, 420J2 steel is usually heated to 1000°C-1050°C and then quickly cooled (quenched). This process is followed by tempering to adjust the hardness and improve toughness.
