Characteristics of 420J1 stainless steel:
Slightly lower carbon content: Compared with traditional 420 stainless steel (such as 420J2), J1 has a slightly lower carbon content, usually around 0.15%. This lower carbon content makes J1 slightly more tough, while having moderate hardness.
Easy to process: Since the carbon content is slightly lower than other 420 series stainless steels, 420J1 has a relatively lower hardness, showing better machinability and formability.
Application field distinction: J1 has a good balance between corrosion resistance and hardness, and is suitable for making products with medium corrosion resistance requirements such as decorative accessories and kitchen knives.
