316L Stainless Steel Plate
The “L” in 316L stands for low carbon, which means that the steel has a lower carbon content than standard 316 stainless steel. The low carbon content helps prevent sensitization, which is the formation of carbides at grain boundaries during welding or high temperature exposure. Carbide precipitation can cause intergranular corrosion, which can seriously weaken the metal.
The plate is made into a flat shape by hot or cold rolling 316L stainless steel, and can then be cut and formed into different sizes and shapes according to application requirements.

SS 316L Plate Description:
316L stainless steel consists of two parts, namely "316" and "L". Among them, "316" represents 316 series stainless steel, and "L" stands for low carbon. 316 series stainless steel is a stainless steel with molybdenum added to ordinary stainless steel, usually including 316, 316L, 316Ti, etc. These steels have good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, and are particularly suitable for use in acidic, alkaline and high temperature environments.
Compared with ordinary 316 stainless steel, 316L stainless steel adds a certain amount of low carbon elements, so it is easier to control oxidation and carburization during welding and processing. Low carbon elements can also improve the softness and plasticity of steel and reduce the brittleness of steel in high temperature environments.
