SS 304 Pipe Description:
304 stainless steel pipe is the most widely used stainless steel among austenitic stainless steels because of its high chromium and nickel content and low carbon content.
304 stainless steel is sometimes also called "18-8", which means it contains more than 18% chromium and more than 8% nickel. Its corrosion resistance is better than 301 stainless steel or 302 stainless steel, and it has excellent tensile and forming properties. It can also work at high temperatures, but carbide precipitation may occur in the temperature range of 800°F-1600°F for a long time.
