Description:
317L stainless steel coil is a low carbon austenitic stainless steel containing molybdenum. The chromium, nickel and molybdenum content of 317L stainless steel is increased to improve corrosion resistance and resistance to chemical attack by sulfurous acid, acetic acid, formic acid, citric acid and tartaric acid.
Due to the low carbon content, 317L stainless steel is also resistant to sensitivity when welded and has higher creep, rupture stress and tensile strength at high temperatures. It is non-magnetic in the annealed state, but may be slightly magnetic after welding.
